12th August was commemorated as the International Youth Day, themed: Youth Civic Engagement. August 27 marked 500 days since close to 300 girls were abducted by terror group Boko Haram in Chibok, Nigeria. The BBOG group scheduled a week-long programme of activities tagged: Global Week of Action #GWA, themed, “500 Days On, Chibok Girls — Crying To Be Rescued, Never To Be Forgotten.”, and we joined to demand the safe return of the 219 Chibok Girls still in captivity.
