First African Women in Political Leadership: Report

FEMNET and its partner ROFAF organized the three-days Sub- Regional Women Leadership Conference for Francophone countries in West Africa that have presidential and/ or parliamentary elections lined up for 2009 and/ or 2010. This Conference was intended to inspire and energize the participants to take action so that women’s participation in the democratic processes in their countries particularly around the forth coming elections is revolutionalized.
This report documents the proceedings of the First Regional Conference for African Women in Political Leadership held in Lome, Togo in 2009.
