In this months e-bulletin, we feature two of our members and their work; TAMWA‘s engagement in the constitution reform process in Tanzania and FOWODE‘s campaign against kerosene tax in Uganda. Briefs from the Secretariat include co-organizing of a solidarity vigil to amplify calls to #BringBackOurGirls – over six months after their abduction, engagement with the AU led DGTrends, and the Technical Meeting on Beijing+20that took place in Addis.

Other news in October include; the impact of Ebola on women and girls, a call from civil society to end discrimination in traditional leadership, farmers, indigenous people and CSOs taking to the streets to protest World Bank policies and much more.

As always, we have calls to action, opportunties as well as e-resources – including the popular version of Agenda 2063. We look forward to hearing your feedback! Please send your news for inclusion in the next issue – and/or comments and questions to communication@femnet.or.ke  and library@femnet.or.ke.
