Being strategic is about being Deliberate. Tactful. Consistent. Systematic. Positioning. In thinking strategically about our communications, we need to be deliberate in identifying our target audience, tactful and consistent in crafting key messages, systematic in using different platforms/ tools and regularly evaluate progress so at to review and learn. Twenty five (25) communication and media specialists from Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan gathered in Nairobi at the Fairview Hotel and Conference Center from 29th June to 1st July 2015 to assess their levels of understanding and interactions with two key processes in 2015, i.e. Financing for Development (FfD) in July 2015 and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be adopted in September 2015. The resulting strategic communications activities will be a roadmap implemented by individuals and organizations between July and September 2015.
