Carole is a human rights lawyer with broad experience and success in management, leadership and governance (boards) of reputable organizations including The Open Society Foundations, FIDA Kenya, Equality Now, Planned Parenthood Global HelpAge International, The Brenda Muntemba Foundation, and the Initiative for Strategic Litigation in Africa (ISLA). She has in the past undertaken impactful evidence-based advocacy in national, regional, and international policy spaces on issues of human rights, law, gender, governance, inclusion, and peace and security. She has also worked as a grants manager and grant maker and has broad experience in financial oversight and accountability.
