Fadzai Traquino is a women rights activist and currently director for Women and Law in Southern Africa – the Zimbabwe Chapter. Before joining WLSA in 2018 she briefly worked with the European Union Election Observer Mission in Zimbabwe as Assistant to the Electoral Analyst. Before assuming this role Traquino was the Extractives Industry Coordinator/Adviser in Zimbabwe for 4 years. Her career in development work started as a volunteer with Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association in 2004 where she later worked in various positions for 9 years providing legal support services to vulnerable women and girls. As an activist she has experience in Constitutional Rights, litigation, advocating for women and children‘s rights and gender justice in various spaces.
